appointment: architecture & interior design
completed 2006; extensively re-built 2016

Located at the edge of an ancient milkwood forest, this building houses a restaurant, bistro, shop, lounge and conference centre. The structural spine along the length of the building is expressed with a series of columns which give rise to the timber structural roof support system metaphorically repressenting the the forrest. The massive spine wall organises the building spiritually and functionally separating the public spaces from the private service components and extends into the fynbos anchoring the building into the landscape.
