A family home in central Higgovale. The 3 story house is entered at street level on the central floor, descending via a sculptural staircase to the living spaces and garden below. The site is flanked by a wooded glen with magnificent views of Lions Head, the City, and Table Mountain below. Sliding timber screens within the concrete overhangs provide sun control and privacy. The C forms of the 3 stories are stacked to create balance over the whole composition.
